The Step By Step Design Process

Many people often wonder "What is the process for getting a custom designed web page?"
Well here it is:

  1. Free Consultation
  2. Initial Design Meeting
    1. Together we talk about what the goals of your business are and how to best achieve them with the design of your custom web site.
    2. You provide any images or content you would like to include on the web site.
    3. We discuss if you would like to add any animations or dynamic graphics to your web site (like you see to the left of this text).
  3. First Submission of Web Page Design
    1. You review our design.
    2. We make any changes you request and re-submit the design.
    3. We repeat this process until you sign off and give final approval.
  4. We "Go Live" with your custom built web site
    1. We register a domain name for your web site (e.g. www.yourwebsite.com).
    2. We host your web site with a web server.
    3. We register your site with the major search engines (eg. Google and Yahoo).
  5. We maintain and update your web site as necessary

Previous Work Examples

Olivers Taxi Tours

This web site is for a taxi driver in St. Thomas USVI. The site was originally designed by a friend of the taxi driver. However, he could not understand why he was not getting any business off the web site. On this site we performed a search engine optimization and also assisted with some online advertising. In addition, some small improvements were made on the web site. We added some flash elements, added a slide show to the front page and made the page a bit easier to read.

Hilman Rollers

This web site is for a company that manufactures industrial rollers. This is a larger site, containing nearly 100 pages. The company's old web site was not effective in displaying their products. The old web site also had many "dead ends" or portions of the web site where you could not get off a certain page unless you hit the "back" button on your web browser. The challenge here was to make it possible to get to any one page on the web site from any other page on the web site. This is obviously a great challenge when you are dealing with almost 100 pages. However, through a combination of horizontal, vertical, and tabbed navigation this feat was accomplished with few exceptions.
